Unless we inform you differently, this privacy policy (“Policy”) explains how Food Ventures Limited (“Food Inc”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collect, use, disclose, and otherwise process personal data of our customers (“Users”) who make use of one of our platforms, products or services (“Services”).
We recommend that you read this Policy carefully to understand your rights and our duties towards managing your personal data, which is any information about you or that can be used to identify you. 1. Information We Process
Whenever you visit or place orders through our website foodinc.app, our mobile application or use our Services, we collect and process certain personal data to provide our services which may include your: Name, Address data, Contact data, Order and transaction data, Payment data, Location data (longitude and latitude), Identity and/or age verification data etc.
Through your use of cookies and similar technologies and when you browse or use our Services (including before and after you create an account with us) we collect information about your use of our Services. This includes information about how you interact with our Services and when you first and last used our Services.
We may also collect information about the devices you use to access our Services. This includes details about your device, such as type, operating system and version, the IP address you are using to access our Services and other unique identifiers associated with your device.
This personal data is necessary to execute, confirm, and assess your order, payment, and possible refund. Your information (such as the items you add to your basket) allow us to process your order and send you an accurate bill. It also helps us to contact you where necessary. We may also rely on third party delivery companies to fulfil your order and such parties may use your information to provide you with status updates on the delivery of your order and contact you for collection.

By setting up your Food Inc account or ordering products through the Application (whether now or in the future), you accept this Policy and consent to the collection and processing of your personal information, your order details, order history and any other information for the purpose of providing the Services as laid out above. 6. Storage and Retention of Your Information
We will only retain your information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, and for the purposes of satisfying any legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or reporting requirements.
We take personal data protection seriously and we therefore take appropriate measures to protect your personal data against misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure, and unauthorised alteration. Your information is stored securely using encryption and industry-standard safeguards.
We limit access to personal information to our staff or affiliated partners who we believe reasonably need access to such information for the operation of our Services.

We may disclose or share the minimal amount of your information necessary to provide our Services in the following instances:
- To our group companies, subsidiaries, partners, riders and our third party providers that help with various Food Inc operations.

- Where we believe disclosure is necessary for purposes we describe when you provide the information; or for any other purpose with your consent.
We require group companies and third parties to protect your personal data in accordance with the standards set out in this Policy and we take appropriate measures pursuant to the applicable data protection laws to guarantee the same level of protection and confidentiality.
8. Your Rights
Under the law, you have certain rights over the information we hold about you. You have the right to:
- Access your information or ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you
- Update the information we hold about you. You can also ask us to make changes to any information we hold about you if it is incorrect or outdated, but we may need to verify the accuracy of the new information before updating it.
- You can delete your account and any personal information associated with it that is no longer necessary in order for us to provide our Services or no longer necessary for our normal business operations and activities;
- You can ask us for a copy of your information in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or otherwise in accordance with the requirements of the applicable law; and, if we can, to send this to a third party.
- Where we rely on your consent to use your information, you can withdraw that consent at any time. If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide certain services to you.
- You can opt out of any marketing communications that we may send you and object to us using your information if we have no legitimate reasons to do so.

9. Transfer of Your Data
Your information may be stored or processed outside Nigeria. When this occurs, we ensure adequate data protection safeguards in compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) and international standards.
10. Children’s Privacy
Our services are not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly. Please inform us if you become aware that a child has provided us with their personal data.
11. Third-Party Services and Links
Food Inc may include links or interactions with third-party services (restaurants, delivery partners, payment gateways). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties and we recommend that you review the privacy policies of any third party sites you visit.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time and so our processing and use of your data will be governed by the most current version of this Policy. If we do make any substantial changes to this Policy, we will notify you via the contact information you have provided. Should you continue to use or access the Services after those changes are employed, you will be taken to have agreed to be bound by the updated Policy.
